Wallet Design Process/Design Thinking

Over the course of the last 3 classes, we worked on design thinking and the creation of a new wallet following the design process. The first part of the project we did was to design an ideal wallet through sketch. The first process we did was to interview your partner to see what his/her opinions on the ideal wallet to see what their mindset on what an ideal wallet would be like. The second process was to dig deeper and start to gain empathy for your partner, by planning to design something useful and meaningful for your partner. The third process was to capture your findings with the wallet and the goals and insights your partner wishes to see in the wallet your creating. The fourth step was to take a stand with a point-of-view. During this step, the student was to write down the partners name and description, and the user's needs and insight your partner wants to see on the wallet. The fifth step was to ideate and generate alternatives to test. During this step, the student was to write a problem statement for the wallet and sketch at least 5 radical ways to meet your user's needs. The sixth step was to share your solutions and capture feedback with your partner. During this step, the student was to write down notes while switching roles and repeat sharing. The seventh process was to reflect and generate a new solution. During this step, the student was to sketch your big idea and to note details on the wallet if necessary. The eighth process was to build your solution by creating a prototype, allowing something your partner can interact with. The ninth process was to share your solution and get feedback. During this step, the student was to state the things the worked with the wallet, the things that could be improved with the wallet, questions about the wallet, and ideas.
Overall my partner was pleased with the wallet design I had made for him, and the project was a success.
